Arnold Schwarzenegger just exposed Proposition 50 as a total scam, and he's warning California voters to think twice before voting yes. In this video, we break down the Governator's vicious takedown of Prop 50 on Bill Maher's show and explain why this could determine the balance of power in Congress for decades.
Former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger declared that Prop 50 is a scam designed to give too much power to politicians in Sacramento. He believes voters should vote NO because Governor Gavin Newsom wants to strike down the independent redistricting commission so Democrats can redraw maps and give themselves an unfair advantage until 2030. Yes, 2030.
During his appearance on Bill Maher's show, Schwarzenegger completely dismantled Prop 50 and exposed Newsom's power grab for what it really is. He even brought up California's homelessness crisis, pointing out that Newsom looks terrible for spending hundreds of millions of dollars on a special election instead of helping homeless people who actually need it.

Gavin Newsom has been the face of the YES campaign for Prop 50, while Arnold Schwarzenegger has positioned himself as the face of the NO opposition. He's appeared in several campaign ads urging Californians to reject this unconstitutional power grab.
Most Republicans and conservatives agree with Schwarzenegger's opinion on Prop 50. But Democratic Party voters in California are so diehard and delusional that they're easily tricked by these special elections. Newsom is lying to them.
The ballot language literally says "Proposition to Stop Trump's Power Grab"—which allows Democrats to do whatever they want with congressional maps until 2030. Whenever California voters see President Trump's name, the TDS syndrome goes into overdrive and they just vote yes without even reading what's in it. The TDS in California is at Chernobyl levels.
Prop 50 is a scam and could face serious legal challenges due to how unconstitutional it is. The Supreme Court could deal an absolute death blow by striking down or gutting the Voting Rights Act entirely. If that happens, it would shift the balance of power in Congress for decades—at minimum a solid decade or two.
The Supreme Court's conservative justices see what's happening in California. They're not dumb—they read the news and pay attention. If Newsom keeps pushing this hard, they could act quickly. Some say it might take years, but it could also be done in a couple of weeks.
Right now the Voting Rights Act has benefited Democrats for decades. If the Supreme Court strikes it down, the power would swing the other way for at least a decade or two. This is a battle of the governors—Schwarzenegger vs. Newsom—and it could determine congressional control for generations.
