After years of renovating our abandoned water mill in Portugal, we finally reached a moment we’ve been dreaming about for a VERY long time…

**We actually get to LIVE in the living room** 🥹

This room has spent years as a construction zone, storage space, and dumping ground — but today, we gave it the transformation it desperately needed. After about 7 hours of cleaning, painting, restoring, moving furniture and bringing in pieces we’ve collected along the way, the mill finally started feeling like a real home.

And the best part? Almost everything we added has a story.

We found an antique dresser for just €40, rescued an old door and turned it into a full-length bathroom mirror, gave forgotten furniture a second life, and finally unpacked a huge Italian marketplace find that had been sitting wrapped up for years.

We’ve always loved the idea of taking something old and giving it a new life, and it feels especially fitting for a 100+ year-old water mill that we’re doing the exact same thing with.

But then came the moment that made all of the years of hard work feel real…

**Our first pizza night in the house 🍕**

A couch. A projector screen. Pizza from our own oven. A cozy living room. And the two of us sitting there watching a movie in the home we have spent years building.

After 13 years of van life, years of renovating, and more ups and downs than we could ever fit into one video, this was one of those quiet moments we dreamed about when this whole adventure began.

And there’s still so much to do…
