القصيدة:

حدِّثهمُ يا مُلهمي
Speak to them, O my inspirer

يا صاحبي في المأتمِ
O my companion in the mourning gathering

عن القلوبِ الوالهة
About the hearts consumed with longing

وغربةِ المحرَّمِ
And the estrangement of Muharram

شَوقاً للُقيا
Longing for the meeting

يا أهل الإحيا
O people of the gatherings of remembrance

وغبطةَ خروجِكم مِن دُنيا الأسرِ
And the joy of your release from the prison of this world

بين الباكينا
Among those who weep

أحياءٌ فينا
You remain alive within us

يا زينةَ الرفاقِ في إحياءِ الأمرِ
O adornment of the companions in reviving the Cause

وصفُهم في الملا
Their description among the people is

غربةٌ وولا
Estrangement and devotion

السلام عليك يا ساكن كربلا
Peace be upon you, O dweller of Karbala

لرِثاهُم صدى
For their elegy echoes on

ابدا ابدا
Forever and ever

السلام عليك يا سيد الشهدا
Peace be upon you, O Master of the Martyrs

حدِّثهمُ ايا أخي
Speak to them, O my brother

يا صاحب الدمع السخي
O one whose tears flow generously

عن ثوبِكَ المغبَّرِ
About your dust-covered garment

وثوبِكَ الملطَّخِ
And your blood-stained robe

رَملاً أو دَمّا
Whether with sand or with blood

حُزناً أو عَزما
Whether with grief or with resolve

فلا زمان لا مكان والمولى غاية
For neither time nor place matters when the Master is the goal

والرايةُ عُليا
And the banner remains raised high

إن حُمِلَت مَشيا
Whether carried while walking

ولو حُمِلتَ ثمَّ صارَ الكفنُ الراية
Or if you are carried and your shroud becomes the banner

حيث حلَّ الحبيب
Wherever the Beloved is found

فالمحبُّ يُجيب
The lover answers the call

السلام عليك على الرمالِ سليب
Peace be upon you, stripped upon the sands

نصرةً وفِدا
In support and sacrifice

ابدا ابدا
Forever and ever

السلام عليك يا سيد الشهدا
Peace be upon you, O Master of the Martyrs

حدثهُمُ ما العاشرُ
Tell them that the Tenth

إلا حنينٌ آخرُ
Is nothing but another longing

وصوتُ آهٍ لم يزل
And the sound of a sigh that has never ceased

تنقلُهُ الحناجرُ
Carried from throat to throat

للطفلِ يُناغي
Calling out to the child

والقاتلُ باغي
While the killer is a transgressor

آهُ الحناجرِ جراحُ سهمِ النحرِ
The sigh of the throats bears the wound of the arrow in the throat

للبنتِ تفرُّ
As the little girl flees

والحادي الشمرُ
While Shimr drives her on

وحسرةُ الغِيرةِ لطماتٌ في الصدرِ
And the anguish of honor becomes blows upon the chest

صوتُ أنصاري
The voice of my supporter

ثأرهُ ثاري
His vengeance is my vengeance

السلام عليك سلامَ أحرارِ
Peace be upon you, the greeting of the free

مع إمام هدى
With an Imam of guidance

ابدا ابدا
Forever and ever

السلام عليك يا سيد الشهدا
Peace be upon you, O Master of the Martyrs
