Ever wondered how buffalo skin lamps are made? In this video, we take you inside a traditional workshop in Pakistan to show the complete buffalo skin lamp making process. First, the buffalo skin is cleaned and soaked in water to make it soft and flexible. Then the wet skin is stretched over a clay mould and left to dry, which gives the lamp its beautiful shape. Once dried, the mould is carefully removed and the skin shell is smoothed and polished. After that, skilled artisans hand-paint stunning traditional designs on the lamp using bright colors and fine brushes. Finally, the light fitting is installed and the lamp glows beautifully, showing off the amazing hand-painted artwork. This centuries-old craft of Pakistan turns simple buffalo skin into glowing pieces of art!
