Biscayne National Park sits just outside Miami, yet it’s one of the least visited parks in the National Park system. On our KYD63 journey to visit all 63 National Parks, this stop reminded us why slowing down can completely change the experience.
In this episode, we visit Biscayne National Park and share what it’s really like to explore a park that is 95% water. We’ll show you how to visit Biscayne, why getting out on a boat makes all the difference, and take you along on a lighthouse tour narrated by a park ranger. This park isn’t about scenic drives or quick stops. It asks for time, intention, and a different way of seeing it.
We also pick up where we left off last week, towing a 22-foot Airstream World Traveler from Tampa to Larry Penny Campground with an SUV. After logging more than 500 miles, we follow up on real-world fuel economy and share what we’ve learned so far. Once we’re set up, we give an RV walkthrough of the World Traveler, opening cabinets and drawers after a few days of living in it, and share practical tips for RV newcomers exploring a new-to-them rig.
