Media ban backfires, leaving Trump silenced

The Trump administration unveiled a new White House helipad on Monday, but Trump's decision to ban specific news outlets backfired during the ceremony. Because of the ban, the media organizations that make up the official press pool boycotted the event entirely. While some non-pool cameras captured the ribbon-cutting, the lack of pool audio technicians meant virtually none of the president's remarks could be heard.
