I Figured Out Apple’s Folding iPhone Illusion

Apple’s attention to design and technical details are a reason they get away with as much as they do. It’s the small accents like a folding animation that tricks your eye into thinking the device is breaking reality. It essentially turns the experience into a floating tethered interface. An infinite screen that you can flip around and it stays accessible. And then they’re continuing to consider the hardware’s form and using it as a kickstand or a selfie camera or how they can use the external screen. The FaceTime functionality where you can use both cameras and show the external person the video of the phone call is gonna be so helpful. And it feels like maybe it was rooted from the weird Vision Pro moment when there were eyeballs on the screen of the headset. Regardless we got here and now the iPhone Duo is coming out in October. The price is steep, but will you still get one?
