Modi Govt ROASTED Jio Sim Company! #shorts
FactTechz
The recent news is about the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) taking action against Reliance Jio over how it shows its recharge plans to users. TRAI found that some Jio prepaid plans were not being shown equally to all customers, which raised concerns about transparency and fairness.
According to reports, Jio was offering certain cheaper or specific plans only through limited channels. For example, some plans were available only in retail stores, some only on the MyJio app, and some only for specific devices like JioPhone. This meant that many users could not see or access all available plans easily.
TRAI said this practice is not fair because all telecom users should be able to see and choose from the same set of plans, no matter how they recharge or what device they use. The regulator called these practices “non-transparent” and “discriminatory” and said they limit consumer choice.
Because of this, TRAI has ordered Jio to fix the issue and make all plans clearly visible and available across all platforms. This includes websites, mobile apps, retail stores, and customer care channels. The company has been given a deadline (around mid-April 2026) to comply, otherwise it may face penalties.
In simple terms, the issue is that Jio was not showing all its plans everywhere, and TRAI stepped in to ensure that customers get full transparency and equal access to all recharge options.
