POV: Your mom turns 66 and your love language is DIY. ❤️🛠️

I did a farmhouse theme birthday decor, upcycled a wooden spool into an outdoor seating, decked up a food counter with a gazebo tent 🏕️ to sit & enjoy.
And NO event planner. NO fancy venue. Bas mai aur Google Search ka naya AI Mode, trying our best to make my mother’s day a little more special ✨
Here’s everything I did -
➡️ GAZEBO TENT ⛺️ - Bought a DIY gazebo tent online, took 6 of us to set this up but made for a good seating space with the help of wooden palettes, some mattresses, white sheets and lots of cushions. Isi me also hung a projector screen 🖥️ where I played some of our childhood clips and revisited the good times.
➡️ SPOOL SEATING TABLE - This was a genius idea suggested by my friend, AI Mode in Google Search! Bahot din se ek wooden spool parked tha humare pass, finally put it to best use with a DIY table & 4 benches. Also added a block print Umbrella ☂️ to add more cheer.
➡️ FOOD THELA - My usual thela table acting as the food counter here also. But I added a canopy this time with fresh lemons 🍋 & citrus fruits coiled around with the help of metal wire. Aur real showstopper toh yaha instant popcorn maker machine thi (lemme know if you need links 🔗) jo sabne bada enjoy kiya.
➡️ PATHWAY - I wanted her to walk and experience every corner of the decor, so maine DIY pathway bhi banaya tha. Just laid down garden weed fabric first, then pavement stones 1 ft apart aur fir bahot saare gravels as filler. Also 6 solar lamp poles were added 💡
➡️ FARMHOUSE DECOR - Great theme for your functions in summer because minimal use of flowers and almost everything in decor gets consumed later. I got so many fruit baskets ready, made compositions with fruits, flowers, candles and my bulb string lights to tie them all.
The best part? Seeing her smile when she walked in ❤️
Because some celebrations deserve effort, not just money ✨
