Bengal tiger released

The release of Bengal tigers usually occurs when conservation teams or forest officials rescue, treat, and safely release big cats that have wandered into human settlements, or when rehabilitated animals (such as those rescued from exploitation) are finally introduced into safe, extensive habitats.

The border between India and Bangladesh is a key area for these operations, as human population growth and tiger territories often overlap.

In these densely forested riverine regions, forest departments typically tranquilize stray tigers, conduct health assessments, and transport them by boat or cage to islands deep in the jungle so they can be safely returned to the wild.
