They don't always go perfectly, and we may only have one shot to get ahold of a snake before it disappears. This one took some work, but the mother and babies were recovered to be put in a better spot for everyone involved.
In this instance, rodents had dug into the foundation and under the AC base slab. There was a high amount of erosion and some other issues that need to be addressed, and can be now that it's not occupied by a bunch of rattlesnakes :) so don't get all in our comments about using a little water to safely extract them.
