Leh Ladakh has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember, and this trip became something much deeper than I expected, a real education in Himalayan Buddhism.

We land in Leh, take a day to acclimatise, then head straight into it, monasteries, prayer wheels, ancient temples, and conversations with monks about a form of Buddhism that's been alive in these mountains for over a thousand years. What struck me most was how familiar it felt, deities and rituals that echo Hinduism in ways I didn't expect to find this far north.

We spent an evening in the home of a Ladakhi grandmother who cooked us a completely home-style vegetarian meals. We also spend time just sitting with the mountains, at viewpoints , talking about partnership and gratitude.

This is just the beginning of our Ladakh journey. There's a lot more of this trip still to come, so stay tuned for the next vlog.
