أشهد بأنني … في هواك لمجنون…أبا عبد الله
I bear witness that I am madly in love with you, O Aba Abdillah
ثم بأنَّ قلبي في..عزائك مرهون…أبا عبد الله
And that my heart is forever bound to mourning you, O Aba Abdillah
سيدي دونك روحي…وطَّنتُ لتلقاك
My Master, I have prepared my soul to meet you
وعوَّدتُ جروحي… أنها تأنسُ حزناً
And I have taught my wounds to find comfort in sorrow
على ذكر الذبيحِ
Whenever the Slain One is remembered
سيدي فَمَنْ… غيرُك السكن
My Master, who but you is my refuge?
إنما الوطن…حيث كربلا
For my homeland is wherever Karbala is
كلُ من سأَلْ…قربَكَ وصَلْ
Whoever sought nearness to you attained it
وأنا فهل …أبقى في البلا؟
As for me, shall I remain in affliction?
عيناي فداك ..يا أبا عبد الله
My eyes are sacrificed for you, O Aba Abdillah
ارزقني لقاك..يا أبا عبد الله
Grant me the blessing of meeting you, O Aba Abdillah

أشهد بحسرتي…لو أحِنُّ وأشتاق..أبا عبد الله
I bear witness through my sorrow whenever I yearn for you, O Aba Abdillah
أنك أنت موطنٌ..بقلبيَ خفاق…آبا عبد الله
That you are the homeland beating within my heart, O Aba Abdillah
أقربُ مني إليَّ…في همسي ونجواي
You are nearer to me than I am to myself, in my whispers and my secret prayers
سواك ما لديَّ…كن معي سيدي دوما
I have no one but you. Be with me always, my Master
وعيناك عليَّ
And let your eyes watch over me
تلك أدمعي ..ليس تدعي
These tears of mine do not pretend
تحملُ معي..مهجةً تذوب
They carry within them a soul that melts away
قلبيَ اتكى … حيث قلبُكا
My heart found its rest where your heart rests
وحدَهُ البكا.. يجمع القلوب
Only weeping can bring hearts together
فاجعلني أراك …أبا عبد الله
So let me behold you, O Aba Abdillah
ارزقني لقاك…أبا عبد الله
Grant me the blessing of meeting you, O Aba Abdillah

أشهد بزينبٍ …في الخيامِ ترى النار…أبا عبد الله
I swear by Zainab seeing the flames among the tents, O Aba Abdillah
أنيَّ كنتُ دونكَ..بروحيَ محتار… آبا عبد الله
That without you my soul is left bewildered, O Aba Abdillah
ذكرك حيث دعاني…من نفسي ودنياي
Your remembrance called me away from myself and from this world
بكفيك احتواني…بعدها كيف سأحتار
Your hands embraced me. How then could I ever lose my way?
ومولاي ضماني
For my Master is my assurance
كيف يَبعُدُ ..كيف يُطردُ
How could one be driven away? How could one be cast aside?
من له يَدُ…تهوي لاطمه
He whose hand strikes his chest in mourning
هل سَأُحرَمُ…أنت أعظمُ
How could I ever be deprived, when you are greater than that?
انت أكرمُ…يا ابن فاطمه
You are more generous than that, O son of Fatimah (a.s.)
احتارُ بلاك…أبا عبد الله
Without you, I am lost, O Aba Abdillah
ارزقني لقاك…أبا عبد الله
Grant me the blessing of meeting you, O Aba Abdillah

اشهد بصحبةٍ…قدموك على الروح…أبا عبد الله
I swear by the companions who placed you above their own souls, O Aba Abdillah
انيَ كنت ليتني..بقربك مذبوح…أبا عبد الله
How I wish I had been slaughtered beside you, O Aba Abdillah
ليتني كنت معاكَ…تعني الحب افعال
If only I had been with you, for love is proven by deeds
وتعني في هواكَ …أجعلُ نفسي وأهلي
And in your love, I would offer myself, my family
واولادي فداكَ
And my children as a sacrifice for you
تعني من رَغِبْ…دونك ذَهَبْ
Whoever desired anything besides you has gone astray
فالذي احَبْ … قوله عمل
For the one who truly loves, actions speak louder than words
تعني لو بدا…موسمُ الفدا
If the season of sacrifice were to begin
دونك الردى …يصبحُ عسل
Then death for your sake would become sweeter than honey
ما العيش سواك…أبا عبد الله
There is no life without you, O Aba Abdillah
ارزقني لقاك…أبا عبد الله
Grant me the blessing of meeting you, O Aba Abdillah
