We Built a HEART AQUARIUM in a Luxury Pink Epoxy Floor… Then GRANDMA Jumped In 😱

In this build, we transformed a plain condo floor into a luxury pink epoxy floor with a heart-shaped aquarium hidden right in the center. The goal was to create a bright, glossy, playful design that still felt clean, premium, and satisfying from start to finish.

We started with the original concrete floor and prepared the surface for epoxy. A thick white epoxy base was poured onto the floor first, then spread evenly with a wide squeegee until the whole surface became a smooth white mirror finish. Every pass revealed more glossy white coverage until the floor looked bright, reflective, and completely leveled.

After the base cured and the finish looked clean, we marked out a cute 1.0 meter heart shape near the foreground, facing the camera. The heart was designed with soft rounded lobes and a short rounded tip so it looked more playful and elegant instead of sharp.

Once the heart layout was locked, the marked area was opened into a deep heart-shaped shaft. After demolition, the opening was cleaned and refined, and a custom heart-shaped wood hatch was fitted perfectly flush into the floor. The wood hatch kept the shape visible while preparing the rest of the room for the final decorative pour.

Next came the main design layer. Multiple pails of colored epoxy were poured around the heart hatch to create the finished floor pattern. The design used a luxury pastel palette with candy pink as the dominant color, blended with soft pink-lilac, tiny hints of lime green, and light orchid depth tones. The resin spread into flowing marbled ribbons and glossy pools, creating a vivid liquid-glass look across the room. The result was a highly reflective epoxy floor with a sweet, bright, premium finish.

After the floor design was completed, the heart feature was revealed as an aquarium cavity. Inside, the color palette was matched carefully to the surrounding floor so everything felt cohesive. Instead of using dark ocean colors, the aquarium was styled with a soft pastel mint-lagoon glow, pale cream and blush coral tones, soft mint aquatic plants, light warm rocks, and small tropical fish in gentle pastel colors. This kept the aquarium visually connected to the pink epoxy design instead of clashing with it.

A heart-shaped tempered glass panel was then installed flush over the opening. Around the top edge, a glowing LED diffuser ring was added to frame the aquarium with a brighter soft halo. The light was kept elegant and clean, using a soft warm tone with a slight pink-lilac feel so it matched the floor and made the heart stand out even more.

To finish the room, furniture was brought in and styled to match the floor palette. The final setup used more vivid colors that still felt luxurious, including blush pink, pink-lilac, and subtle accent tones that tied the whole room together. The finished result was a glossy pink epoxy floor with a glowing heart aquarium centerpiece that looked playful, dramatic, and premium at the same time.
