This is a BIG News for people looking to buy CCTV! Yes, Government of India has banned all the Chinese CCTV cameras. So, starting April 2026, popular brands like TP-Link, Hikvision and Dahua will be banned from selling their CCTV cameras in India. As per this new rule, all the CCTV cameras sold in India must be tested and certified by the Government, under the STQC certification. These Chinese players are not getting certified because of the Chinese components, servers, and software that they use, and because of that, there’s risk associated with National security. But Indian players like CP Plus and Qubo will not be impacted, because they get their chipsets from Taiwan. Subscribe to @beebomco for more useful tech shorts!
